Description

The libperf library provides an API to access the linux kernel perf events subsystem.

Following objects are key to the libperf interface:

struct perf_cpu_mapProvides a CPU list abstraction.
struct perf_thread_mapProvides a thread list abstraction.
struct perf_evselProvides an abstraction for single a perf event.
struct perf_evlistGathers several struct perf_evsel object and performs functions on all of them.
struct perf_mmapProvides an abstraction for accessing perf ring buffer.

The exported API functions bind these objects together.
