      dpns_ping - check if name server is alive and return its version number

[1mDESCRIPTION[0m
      [1mdpns_ping  [22mchecks  if  the name server is alive and returns its version
      number.

[1mOPTIONS[0m
      [4mserver[24m specifies the DPNS Name Server hostname.  If NULL, the DPNS_HOST
             environment variable is used.

      [4minfo[24m   points  at  a  buffer  to receive the information (currently the
             version number).  The buffer must be  at  least  256  characters
             long.

[1mRETURN VALUE[0m
      This  routine  returns  0  if the operation was successful or -1 if the
      operation failed. In the latter case, [1mserrno [22mis set appropriately.

[1mERRORS[0m
      [1mEFAULT       [4m[22minfo[24m is a NULL pointer.

      [1mSENOSHOST    [22mHost unknown.

      [1mSENOSSERV    [22mService unknown.

      [1mSECOMERR     [22mCommunication error.

      [1mENSNACT      [22mName server is not running or is being shutdown.
