retrieve the y coordinate of an instance

Synopsis

long GENLIB_GET_INS_Y(insname)
char ∗insname;

Parameter

insname

Name of the instance which y coordinate is to be given back

Description

GET_INS_Y looks for  the instance called insname in the current figure. Then it computes its absolute coordinates in the figure, and gives back its y coordinate.

Return Value

The function returns a long int being the y position of the instance in the current figure

Errors

"GENLIB_GET_INS_Y impossible : missing GENLIB_DEF_PHFIG"

No figure has been yet specified by a call to DEF_PHFIG. So it isn't possible to place a connector inside it. you must call DEF_PHFIG before any other layout action.

"illegal getphins : instance called insname does not exist"

No instance called insname exists in the current figure.
