pipx-ensurepath - Man Page

ensure directories necessary for pipx(1) operation are in your PATH environment variable

Synopsis

pipx ensurepath [-h] [--force]

Description

Ensure directory where pipx(1) stores apps is in your PATH environment variable. Also if pipx(1) was installed via pip install --user, ensure pipx(1) itself is in your PATH.

Options

Optional Arguments

-h,  --help

Show a help message and exit

--force-f

Add text to your shell’s config file even if it looks like your PATH already contains paths to pipx(1) and pipx(1)-installed apps.

Files

Note that running this may modify your shell’s configuration file(s) such as ~/.bashrc.
