mate-power-backlight-helper — helper application for MATE's power management backlight control


mate-power-backlight-helper [ --help ]  [ --set-brightness ]  [ --get-brightness ]  [ --get-max-brightness ]


This manual page documents briefly the mate-power-backlight-helper command.

mate-power-backlight-helper is a helper utility for controlling the backlight of TFT displays via the MATE power manager userspace daemon.

The mate-power-backlight-helper requires to be run with root privileges.


This program follows the usual GNU command line syntax, with long options starting with two dashes (`-'). A summary of options is included below.


Show summary of options.

--set-brightness BRIGHTNESS_LEVEL

Set the given brightness.


Get the current brightness.


Get the number of brightness levels supported.
