transfer existing snapshots to targets

Synopsis

btrfs-backup-ng transfer [Options]

Description

Transfer existing snapshots to configured targets without creating new ones. Uses incremental transfers when possible for efficiency.

Options

--dry-run

Show what would be done without making any changes.

--volume PATH

Only transfer the specified volume(s). Can be specified multiple times.

--compress METHOD

Compression method for transfers. Overrides per-target configuration. Valid methods: none, zstd, gzip, lz4, pigz, lzop.

--rate-limit RATE

Bandwidth limit for transfers. Examples: 10M, 1G, 500K.

--progress

Show progress bars during transfers.

--no-progress

Disable progress bars.

Examples

Transfer all pending snapshots:

btrfs-backup-ng transfer

Transfer with compression:

btrfs-backup-ng transfer --compress zstd

Transfer specific volume with rate limiting:

btrfs-backup-ng transfer --volume /home --rate-limit 50M
